Box Score FREDONIA, N.Y.—Mount Union got a goal from freshman Andrea Decker (Hillard / Hillard Bradley) to knock off host Fredonia St. 1-0 Saturday afternoon.
Decker received the ball from sophomore Sara Thomas (Barberton) and put the ball in the back of the net to give the Purple Raiders a 1-0 lead in the 78th minute.
Freshman Skyelar Mantz (Lodi / Cloverleaf) recorded her second career shutout with six saves for the Raiders while senior Lauren Beech (Hanoverton / United Local) lead the Raiders in shots with five on the day.
Mount Union finished the weekend with two wins improving their record to 2-1-1.
Mount Union plays next Wednesday, September 11 at 7:30 p.m. against Penn State Behrend in Erie, Pa.
