WILMINGTON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's soccer team lost an Ohio Athletic Conference game on the road 2-1 at Wilmington, Saturday night.
The Quakers (9-0-2, 2-0-1 OAC) struck first in the 26
th minute when a shot by Casey Miller found the back of the net.
The game remained 1-0 until the 85
th minute when senior
Rylan Wikle (Olmsted Falls) scored to tie the game at one. The goal came off an assist by freshman
Omar Najjar (Akron / Revere).
For the third time in their last four meetings the Raiders (7-3-1, 0-3-0 OAC) and Quakers headed to overtime. Wilmington scored just a minute into overtime off a goal by Yusef Muqtadir.
The Raiders return to action Wednesday, October 13 at 7 p.m. in an OAC game against Muskingum at Mount Union Stadium.
