ALLIANCE, Ohio— Mount Union's women's track and field team, ranked No. 12 in the nation, won six events in an indoor meet win against John Carroll and Baldwin Wallace Saturday at Peterson Fieldhouse.
Junior Emily Phillips (Chardon) pole vaulted to a lifetime pr of 11-feet 8.5-inches and currently sits tied second in the nation.
Sophomore Kanemah Rambi (Kenosha, Wis. / Bradford) won the shot put in a throw of 39-feet .5-inches.
Senior Sabrina Stocker (Madison) tied her best run over the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.04 sitting 10th in the nation while senior Mariah Eisenbraun (Lisbon / United Local) grabbed first in the 60-meters in a time of 8.20.
Sophomore Megan Wertz (Canton / GlenOak) won the 800 meters in a time of 2:21.88.
In the final event of the day the women's 4x400 relay team consisting of seniors Hailey Miller (Louisville) and Cortni Arp (Copley) along with sophomores Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W.Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) and Micah Donley (Carrollton) ran a 3:57.42 giving them the fourth best time in the nation currently.
Mount Union tallied 121.5 points which was followed by John Carroll at 113 and Baldwin Wallace at 54.50.
Mount Union travels to Columbus next week with the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at Otterbein on Friday Mar. 5 at a time to be determined.
