Box Score UNIVERISTY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Mount Union women's soccer team dropped its Ohio Athletic Conference game to John Carroll 1-0 Thursday night.
Mount Union (0-2) held the majority of the possession in the first half but was unable to score a goal leaving the score tied at the half.
John Carroll (2-0) got the only goal of the game in the 70th minute on a header from Gabriella Walter.
Mount Union had a shot on goal with less than 30 seconds left but a save from John Carroll ended the game.
Mount Union was led by junior Kassity Miller (New Waterford / Crestview) who had all four of her shots on goal. Sophomore Andrea Decker (Hillard / Hillard Bradley) and freshman Kaela Turle (Twinsburg) had two shots one of which was on goal.
Freshman Claudia Wilson (Vermillon) had 5 saves in goal for the Purple Raiders.
Mount Union outshot John Carroll 10-6 with on goal shots and 12-11 overall.
Mount Union stay on the road to take on Wilmington Sunday, March 21st at 2 p.m. in Wilmington.
