Box Score WILMINGTON, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer team tied Wilmington 3-3 in double overtime in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Sunday Afternoon at Wilmington.
Mount Union scored all three goals in the first half of the game. Scoring in the 21st minute was freshman Gianna Ranallo (Wickliffe). Sophomore Andrea Decker (Hillard / Hillard Bradley) doubled the Purple Raiders lead to two with a goal in the 30th minute.
The Purple Raiders got their third goal from sophomore Olivia McLean (Beloit / West Branch) assisted by junior Kassity Miller (New Waterford / Crestview).
Wilmington grabbed a goal right before the half to cut the lead down to 3-1.
Wilmington got two more goals in the 56th and 67th minutes of the game to tie it up at 3.
Mount Union had one shot in the first overtime that would be stopped while Wilmington had two in the first overtime and one is the second overtime that were not on goal.
Wilmington held a 20-12 advantage in shots while Raider keeper Claudia Wilson (Vermillon) had seven saves in goal.
The Raiders come back home to host Muskingum on Thursday, Mar. 25 at 7 p.m. in Alliance.
