WESTERVILLE, Ohio— The No. 5 ranked Mount Union women's track and field team posted two top 3 marks in the NCAA Division III and picked up the win with 171 points scored in winning the Ohio Athletic Conference Elite Meet Saturday afternoon at Otterbein.
The team of Micah Donley (Carrollton), Madison Miles (Parma / Padua Franciscan), Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W.Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) and Cortni Arp finished second in the 4x400-Meter Relay but also put up the second fastest time in NCAA Division III running 3:53.79.
Kennady Gibbins (Navarre / Fairless) keeps setting near the top marks in the nation this week winning long jump with a distance of 18-feet 8-inches good for third-best nationally.
Emily Phillips (Chardon) won the pole vault with a height of 11-feet 9.5-inches.
Michaelina Terranova (North Jackson / Jackson-Milton) grabbed the victory in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:05.41
Maddison Miles (Parma / Padua Franciscan) led the top 3 Raiders in for the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.33.
Brit McCauley (Ontairo) ran away from the field in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:45.94 five seconds better than second place.
Mount Union heads to Ada next week for a meet hosted by Ohio Northern on Saturday Apr. 24.
