ADA, Ohio—The No. 5 ranked Mount Union's Women Track and Field Team came away with nine wins including a top 8 marks in NCAA Division III Saturday afternoon in Ada.
The Purple Raiders came away with the first place team title scoring 275 points compared to second place Ohio Northern with 168.
Sabrina Stocker (Madison) ran a second best time in the nation in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.54.
Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W.Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) picked up two wins on the day in the 100 and 200-Meters in times of 12.41 and 25.61.
In the 400-Meter Kennady Gibbins (Navarre / Fairless) ran a 59.82 picked up the first-place finish.
The 4x100-Meter Relay finished first with the team consisting of Wayt, Cortni Arp (Copley), Lily Bogunovich (Alliance / Marlington), and Madison Miles (Parma / Padua Franciscan) running a time of 49.03.
Megan Wertz (Canton / GlenOak) ran a 2:23.33 in the 800 Meter run good for first place.
Bri Aveni (Geneva) grabbed first placing jumping 11' 4.5" in the Pole Vault.
In the final event the team of Bogunovich, Miles, Hailey Miller (Louisville), and Micah Donley (Carrollton) finished first in the 4x400-meter relay in a time of 4:03.51.
Mount Union heads back home to host Capital, John Carroll, Muskingum, and Otterbein Saturday Apr. 10 at Mount Union Stadium.
