BEREA, Ohio—The Mount Union track and field teams competed and won nine events Friday afternoon at the OAC Tune-up at Baldwin Wallace.
Sabrina Stocker (Madison) ran a 14.65 in the preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles as the fastest time of the day as she did not run the finals. Michaelina Terranova (North Jackson / Jackson-Milton) did win the finals in a time of 14.98 and she also ran a faster time in the prelim as well running 14.77.
The 4x100 meter relay team of Cortni Arp (Copley), Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W.Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic), Micah Donley (Carrollton) and Madison Miles (Parma / Padua Franciscan) won the event with a time of 48.45.
Brit McCauley (Ontario) ran away from the field in the mile running a time of 5:01.92.
Olivia Powers (Norwalk / St. Paul) picked up a victory in the 400-meters in a time of 59.90.
Julia Henderson (Twinsburg) grabbed the win in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:08.19.
Lily Bogunovich (Alliance / Marlington) won high jump with a height of 5-feet 1-inch.
Justin Knoch (Canton / GlenOak) ran a 49.70 in to win the 400-meters.
Brody Coleman (Knox, Pa. / Keystone) won the triple jump with a leap of 47-feet 5.25-inches which is tied for the seventh best mark in the event in the nation.
Lucas Cooper (Hanoverton / United Local) won the discus throw with a distance of 159-feet 9-inches.
The Purple Raiders now get ready to head to the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships Thursday, May 6 and Friday, May 7 hosted by Heidleberg in Tiffin.
