Women's Tennis: Thorton Prevents Raiders From Shutout Against Otterbein

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Mount Union women's tennis team (2-6, 2-5 OAC) dropped to the Cardinals of Otterbein (5-2, 5-2 OAC) Saturday afternoon with a score of 8-1.

The Raiders lone point came in No. 3 singles action as freshman Emma Thorton (Canfield / Youngstown Ursuline) took down her opponent in thrilling action as she dropped the first set 4-6, and bouncing back 6-2, and 1-0.

The Raiders completed their 2021 regular season with an overall record of 2-5 and an Ohio Athletic Conference record of 2-5. Mount Union will await seeding for the OAC Tournament set to begin next week.
