ALLIANCE, Ohio – The University of Mount Union wrestling team opened its 2022-23 season as runner-up in its home invitational on Saturday.
The Raiders finished second out of nine teams with 143.5 points, only 14.5 behind first-place NCAA Division II Gannon.
Mount had a pair of first-place individual finishers in seniors Jack Stanley (Brecksville, OH / Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) and
David Reinhart (Canfield, OH / Canfield). Stanley won at 125 pounds, while Reinhart won at 175 pounds.
