MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – Multiple Mount Union Raiders had impressive performances in day one of the Messiah Petrofes Invitational on Friday.
 
Senior David Reinhart (Canfield, OH / Canfield), who is currently ranked fifth in the region at 174, advanced to the semifinals after winning three matches on Friday (in order of way of winning: Fall 1:08, Decision (10-5), and Technical Fall (17-1)). Reinhart will face Muhlenberg's Anson Dewar at 9 a.m. tomorrow to secure a spot in the championship round.
 
First-year Nicholas Nettleton (Exeter, PA / Exeter Township), who is ranked sixth in the region at 157, lost to No. 11 nationally ranked Muhlenberg's Brandon Bowles, 3-1, however recovered and beat Messiah's Garret Cornell, who is ranked No. 12 in the country, 11-5. Nettleton will face Muhlenberg's Riley McHale in the semifinals of the third-place bracket.
