GRAMBIER, Ohio – Mount Union women's lacrosse team fell 18-8 to Kenyon College Monday at McBride Field.
Sydney Bumbarger (Newbury Park, Calif.) had the four goals for the Purple Raiders, who are now 2-2 on the season.
Katie Clark (Hudson Walsh / Jesuit) finished the game with three goals while
Sam Karr (Newark, Del. / Newark Charter) had a goal for Mount Union.
Caroline O'Neil had five goals to lead Kenyon (6-1).
Kenyon scored the first goal but Bumbarger scored a goal 1:18 later to tie the score at 1. Kenyon then scored nine unanswered until two goals from Clark made the score 10-3.
Two more goals from Kenyon and then a goal from Bumbarger ended the first half.
Kenyon outscored Mount Union 6-4 in the second half with two goals from Bumbarger and a goal a piece from Karr and Clark.
Mount Union heads to Wooster to finish up its non-conference portion of the schedule on Wednesday, March 23 at 5 p.m.
