SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – Mount Union's men's volleyball team stayed perfect in Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League action with a 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 20-25, 25-20) win over Wittenberg Saturday at Pam Smith Arena.
The Purple Raiders have now won five-straight and are 6-7 overall and 4-0 in MCVL matches.
Luke Trezeciak (Cranberry, Pa. / Seneca Valley) had 14 kills while Will Henney (Hudson / Walsh Jesuit) and Max Kaiser (Lewis Center / Olentangy) had 18 and 15 assists respectively to pace the offense.
Defensively, Sam Matonis (Macedonia / Walsh Jesuit) had 5.0 blocks while Cameron Ternent (Canal Fulton / Massillon Jackson) and Steven Grenier (Hawthorn Woods, Ill. / Lake Zurich) paced the squad with 15 and 11 digs.
Dominic Melchiorre had a match-best 18 kills for Wittenberg (9-11, 3-2 MCVL).
Mount Union next hosts Hiram Wednesday, March 9 at 7 p.m. in Alliance.
