Men's Soccer: No. 10 Raiders Break School Record in Win Over Wilmington

ALLIANCE, Ohio – The No. 10 nationally ranked Mount Union men's soccer team defeated Wilmington 1-0 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half the Purple Raiders (14-1-1, 5-1-1 OAC) were able to break the tie in the 51st minute when senior Adam Kalvitz (Avon) found fellow senior Zak Peterjohn (North Royalton) for a goal to take a 1-0 lead.

The Quakers (2-11-2, 1-5-1 OAC) weren't able to find the back of the net over the remainder of the game as the Raiders would go on to win 1-0.

The win gave Mount Union their 14th of the season which broke the school record for wins in a single season and it also clinched them a spot in the OAC Tournament.

The Raiders are home again next when they host John Carroll on Wednesday, October 25 at 7 p.m. in Kehres Stadium.
