WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The No. 8 nationally ranked Mount Union men's soccer team lost 2-0 to Otterbein in their regular season finale on Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals (12-2-3, 8-0-1 OAC) struck first when Mitchell Patterson was able to find the back of the net in the 19
th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Otterbein would then add to their lead right before the end of the first half in the 43
rd minute, this time scoring off the foot of Kasdin Hale to take a 2-0 lead heading into the halftime break.
The Purple Raiders (15-2-1, 6-2-1 OAC) weren't able to find the back of the net in the second half and the Cardinals would go on to win 2-0.
The Raiders will be the 3-seed in the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Tournament next week and will host the sixth seed on Tuesday, October 31 in Kehres Stadium.
