BEREA, Ohio – The No. 14 nationally ranked Mount Union men's soccer team tied Baldwin Wallace 2-2 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup on Wednesday evening.
The Purple Raiders (9-1-1, 0-1-1 OAC) struck first when senior
Emilio Spetic (Chardon / Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) found the back of the net in the 10
th minute off an assist from senior
Jamon McCort (Magnolia / Sandy Valley) to take a 1-0 lead.
The Yellow Jackets (5-5-2, 1-0-1 OAC) would comeback to tie the game in the 17
th minute, scoring of a goal from Mathew Skladany. Mount Union would reclaim the lead in the 20
th minute when McCort was able to find the back of the net to take a 2-1 lead. Baldwin Wallace would answer again in the 37
th minute when Julian Kieres scored to tie the game at two heading into the half.
Neither team would be able to score in the second half as they would go on to tie 2-2.
The Raiders return home next when they host Heidelberg for Senior Night on Saturday, October 7 at 7 p.m. in Kehres Stadium.
