ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's soccer team defeated Baldwin Wallace 2-1 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup on Wednesday evening.
The Purple Raiders (4-4-1, 1-1 OAC) got on the board first when sophomore
Madeline Boulos (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Deer Lake) found the back of the net in the sixth minute off an assist from junior
Jillian Pidgeon (Homeworth / West Branch) to take a 1-0 lead.
The Yellow Jackets (5-5-1, 1-1 OAC) would comeback to tie the game in the 53rd minute, scoring off a goal by Sydni Mudge.
Then, in the 82nd minute Mount Union would retake the lead when Pidgeon was able to score off an assist from Boulos to take a late 2-1 lead.
Junior goalkeeper
Rylee Oldfield (Liberty Twp. / Lakota East) recorded 12 saves in the victory.
The Raiders hit the road next when they travel to Tiffin to take on Heidelberg in an OAC matchup on Saturday, October 7 at 1 p.m.
