TIFFIN, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer team lost an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup 2-1 against Heidelberg on Saturday afternoon.
The Student Princes (4-4-2, 2-1 OAC) struck first when Madi Lause was able to find the back of the net in the 10
th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Heidelberg would then extend their lead in the 17
th minute when Lause scored her second goal of the game to make the lead 2-0.
The Purple Raiders (4-5-1, 1-2 OAC) would cut into the lead in the 50
th minute when junior
Jillian Pidgeon (Homeworth / West Branch) found sophomore
Madeline Boulos (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Deer Lake) for a goal to cut the lead to 2-1. However, Mount Union wouldn't be able to find the back of the net again as the Student Princes would go on to win 2-1.
The Raiders are on the road again next when they travel to Marietta on Wednesday, October 11 at 7 p.m.
