ASHLAND, Virginia—No. 13 National ranked Mount Union men's volleyball team fell in straight sets, 25-20, 25-22 and 26-24 to Randolph-Macon Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders (10-3) were led by senior
Cameron Ternent (Canal Fulton / Massillon Jackson) with nine kills while senior
Andrew Cross (St. Louis, Mo. / St. Louis University High) finished with a hitting percentage of .600 with seven kills.
Sophomore
Will Heeney (Hudson / Walsh Jesuit) finished with 26 assists while sophomore
Aaron Armour (Waukesha, Wis. / Catholic Memorial) led the Raiders in digs with seven each.
Randolph-Macon (8-5) was led by Ian Wagenhauser with 13 kills each.
Mount Union had 30 kills with 16 errors while Randolph-Macon had 36 kills with 23 errors while Macon had 13 service aces to Mount Union's one.
Mount Union stays on the road opening MCVL play at Olivet and Adrian in two weeks on Friday and Saturday March 3 and 4.
