DAVENPORT, Fla. – The Mount Union baseball team lost, 3-2, to Grove City in a single nine-inning game during its Florida trip on Friday.
Mount Union (8-3) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Grove City (9-3) took a 3-1 lead with three runs in the sixth. The Purple Raiders cut into the Wolverines' lead in the seventh when senior
Eric Schilling (Stow, Ohio / Stow-Munroe Falls) connected on an RBI-single, however, Grove City held onto to the lead for the win.

The Purple Raiders are back in action Saturday, March 11 with a nine-inning game vs. Rutgers-Newark at 4 p.m.
