ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union baseball team split with No. 4 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace in a home Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) doubleheader on Tuesday.
Mount Union (16-9, 4-4 OAC) won game one in dramatic fashion with a walk-off home run by senior
Anthony Kemer (Cleveland, Ohio / Lakewood St. Edward) in the 10
th inning in its 9-8 win, overcoming a 7-0 deficit.
Baldwin Wallace (20-5, 6-2 OAC) won game two, 10-2.
The Purple Raiders were down 7-3 after four innings in game one, before scoring one run in the fifth and four in the seventh to take an 8-7 lead; junior
Jaired Lehman (Monroeville, Pa. / Gateway) had the go-ahead RBI-single. The Yellow Jackets took the lead with a run in the eighth which forced extra innings. Chuck Hawley (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) earned his first win of the season after coming in for relief with 3.2 innings of work, only allowing one run off three hits.
