NEW CONCORD, Ohio—
Katie Clark (Hudson / Walsh Jesuit) finished with 10 points scoring four goals and six assists to get her to 200 career points in Mount Union's 20-4 win over Muskingum in Ohio Athletic Conference play in women's lacrosse Wednesday night.
Clark became the seventh Purple Raider in school history to achieve the feat on an assist to
Emily Nannarone in the first quarter.
Mount Union (9-2, 4-0 OAC) was led by Clark and then
Julia Bates (East Lyme, Conn.) had three goals and two assists.
Sam Karr (Newark, Del. / Newark Charter) had three goals and an assist.
Mackenzie Kolstad, Victor, N.Y. / Victor Senior),
Ella Nejad (Rocky River) and
Ella Sinopoli (Honeoye Falls, N.Y. / Honeoye Falls-Lima) each scored two goals.
Emily Nannarone (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls),
Eden Kesler (Chagrin Falls / Kenston),
Emily Funk (Strongsville) and
Sydney Nikolevski (Penfield, N.Y. / Penfield) each scored a goal.
Tara Santoro (Canfield) led Mount Union in ground balls with three while
Gillian Maffit (Mentor) and Kolstad each had two caused turnovers.
Abby Lindkvist (Greenlawn, N.Y. / Haborfield) got the win with one save and two goals allowed.
Muskingum 5-8, 0-4 OAC) was led by Riley Hudock with two goals as Kyleigh Dahlgren had seven saves.
Muskingum got the first goal and then nine straight goals from the Raiders with Clark having four goals, Karr with three, and Bates with two. Muskingum got another goal and then three more to end the quarter for Mount Union as Kolstad, Kesler and Nannarone each got a goal.
The second quarter saw Nejad scoring two goals and Kolstad and Funk each getting a goal to push the lead to 16-2 at the half.
Muskingum got the first in the third quarter and the last in the game but Mount Union got four in between with Sinopoli grabbing two and Bates and Nikolevski each getting one.
Mount Union returns on Saturday to take on No. 22 nationally ranked Kenyon at 1 p.m.
