ALLIANCE, Ohio - No. 18 nationally ranked Mount Union men's soccer team defeated No. 25 nationally ranked Case Western Reserve University 2-1 in a Top 25 matchup at Kehres Stadium Tuesday evening.
The Purple Raiders (7-0) were first to get on the board in the 22nd minute when freshman
Alex Depperschmidt (Mansfield / Lexington) found the back of the net for his first career goal off a free kick.
The Spartans (5-1-1) then responded with a goal of their own when Brandon Kim found the back of the net in the 26th minute.

Jamon McCort (Magnolia / Sandy Valley) scored on an assist from senior
Omar Najjar (Akron / Revere) to give Mount Union the 2-1 victory.
The Raiders will be back in action Saturday, September 22 at 7:00 pm when they travel to Hiram College.
