WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in third place after the first round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview at River Greens G.C. on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 302, which is five strokes behind second place Capital. John Carroll leads the event with a team score of 289.
Sophomore
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way for Mount Union, carding a 69 which also has him sitting in first place as an individual. Freshmen
Caden Buxton (West Middlesex, Pa.) and
Vincent Borros (Strongsville) both carded rounds in the 70s, shooting 76 and 77 respectively. Senior
Owen Hinkle (Loudonville) rounded out the Raiders team score with an 80.
The Raiders are back in action again tomorrow for the final round of the OAC Fall Preview at River Greens G.C. in West Lafayette.
