VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in sixth place at the Marlins Invitational at Cypress Point Country Club to kick off their spring season.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 633 (323-310) which was just three strokes back of fifth place Randolph Macon. Pfeiffer and Virginia Wesleyan finished in a tie for first with a team score of 611.
Sophomore
Vincent Borros (Strongsville) led the way for Mount Union finishing with a 36-hole score of 157 (82-75) with freshman
Austin Mariani (Kinsman / Badger) finishing with a 159 (78-81). Junior
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) finished with a 160 (82-78) and freshman
Austin Wilhoit (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) rounded out the Raiders team score with a 161 (82-79).
The Raiders return to action on Thursday, April 2 for the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Preview in Austintown, Ohio.
