WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's soccer team defeated Otterbein 2-1 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday evening.
The Purple Raiders (7-3-1, 1-0 OAC) struck first when sophomore
Dom Kustura (Willowick / Eastlake North) found the back of the net in the sixth minute to take a 1-0 lead.
The Cardinals (4-4-2, 0-1 OAC) would tie the game at a goal apiece in the 25
th minute when Nick Isaac netted a goal. Mount Union would reclaim the lead in the 35
th minute, this time scoring off a goal from fifth-year
Carter Hancock (Amherst / Marion L. Steele) to take a 2-1 lead. Otterbein wouldn't be able to answer over the course of the second half as the Raiders would go on to win 2-1.
The Raiders return home next when they host John Carroll in an OAC matchup on Wednesday, October 9 at 7 p.m. in Kehres Stadium in Alliance.
