The Purple Raiders (15-4-1, 8-1 OAC) struck first when they broke the scoreless draw in the 57

Carter Hancock (Amherst / Marion L. Steele) to take a 1-0 lead. Mount Union would then add an insurance goal in the 72

Zander Plizga (Gibsonia, Pa. / Hampton) found fifth-year
Jordan Akins (Cuyahoga Falls) to extend the lead to two goals.
The Comets (7-9-4, 5-3-1 OAC) wouldn't be able to answer over the final 18 minutes of game time as the Raiders would go on to win 2-0.
Senior goalkeeper
Lucas Fields (West Chester / Lakota East) recorded three saves en route to his sixth shutout of the season.
With the win the Raiders advance to Saturday's OAC Tournament Championship game where they will host Otterbein at 7 p.m. in Kehres Stadium.
