WILMINGTON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's basketball team defeated Wilmington 70-69 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.
The win marks the 250

Mike Fuline's career, which ties the program record at Mount Union, tying former Mount Union head coach Lee Hood.
The Purple Raiders (6-2, 3-0 OAC) had four players score in double figures with fifth-year
Christian Parker (Canton / GlenOak) leading the way with a game-high 25-point, 13-rebound double-double. Junior
Corey Hudson (Columbus / Pickerington) and sophomore
Elijah Farrington (Massillon / Massillon Washington) scored 13 points apiece with freshman
Chance Casenhiser (Uniontown / Lake) adding in 10 points to round out the Raiders in double digits.
The Quakers (2-7, 0-3 OAC) were led by Rashid Chisolm who scored a team-high 13 points and Obed Achirem who added in 12 points.
Wilmington would jump out to an early 11-5 lead just under six minutes into the game before a pull up jumper from Casenhiser sparked a 12-2 run over the next 5:43 of game time to give Mount Union a 17-13 lead with just under eight minutes remaining in the first half. Both teams would go on to trade baskets, with neither able to gain an edge over the final eight minutes of the first half, as the Raiders would take a 39-34 lead into the halftime break.
After trading baskets over the first three and a half minutes of the second half, the Quakers would go on a 13-3 run over the next 3:56 of action to take a 55-49 lead with just under 13 minutes left to play in the game. The Quakers would continue to slowly build on their lead over the next seven and a half minutes of game time, stretching it out to 11 with just 5:24 remaining in the game. The Raiders would go on an 11-1 run over the final 3:20 of the game with the final three baskets coming from Parker including the game winner that came with just six seconds left in the game to give Mount Union the 70-69 victory.
