AURORA, Illinois—The Mount Union men's volleyball team fell on the road in straight sets ,27-25, 25-23 and 26-24, to Aurora (Ill.) Friday night.
The Purple Raiders (5-5) were led by senior
Jack McClure (Massillon / Massillon Jackson) with 15 kills while sophomore
Michael Bowler (Broadview Heights / Brecksville-Broadview Heights) with 10 kills.
Junior
Will Heeney (Hudson / Walsh Jesuit) finished with 32 assists while freshman
Peyton Koszelak (Eden, N.Y. / Eden) finished with 15 digs.
Aurora (3-6) was led by Josh McLellan with 17 kills, Ryder Kelley with 35 assists and Alex Nonhof with 15 digs.
Over the match Mount Union had 42 kills with 17 errors for a hitting percentage of .227 while Aurora had 43 kills wit h15 errors for a hitting percentage of .250.
Mount Union returns to play tomorrow with a tri match against Illinois Institute of Technology at 12:30 PM and No. 10 North Central at 3 PM in Chicago, Ill.
