ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union men's volleyball swept Penn State Behrend, 27-25, 25-16 and 25-16, Wednesday night.
The Purple Raiders (6-7) were led by
Jack McClure (Massillon / Massillon Jackson) and
Jacob Nussdorfer (Lewis Center / Olentangy) with 15 and 13 kills.
Will Heeney (Hudson / Walsh Jesuit) finished with 32 assists while McClure and
Aaron Armour (Waukesha, Wis. / Catholic Memorial) finished with 10 digs.
Penn State Behrend (5-11) was led by Daniel Easly with nine kills, Alex Jackson with 19 assists and Kyle Hoffman with six assists.
Mount Union dominated in hitting with 46 kills with just 11 errors for a hitting percentage of .389 while Penn State Behrend had 35 kills and 14 errors for a hitting percentage of .226.
Mount Union returns home to start conference play with a match at home on Friday at 7 PM and Saturday at 1 PM.
