ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union men's lacrosse team took down Wilmington 26-2 on Senior night in Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday evening.
The Purple Raiders (6-8, 2-4 OAC) were led by
Liam Erwin with four goals.
Mount Union got a hat trick from
Grant Dunmire,
Spencer Logsdon and
Robert Belknap while
Mark Zusman,
Cole Benson and
Sly Sundown each got two goals.
Ian Dennison,
Ben Jones,
Axel Magarrell,
Jake Miller,
Obrigh Tallchief and
Vinny Marszalek each had a goal.
Stephen Moschetta made four saves in goal and picked up the victory in net for Mount Union.
Wilmington (4-10, 0-6 OAC) was led by Austin Young scoring the only two goals and Peyton Thompson with 14 saves in goal.
Mount Union dominated the first quarter scoring eight goals and holding Wilmington scoreless. Wilmington got on the board in the second quarter but Mount Union found the back of the net three times as Mount Union led 11-1 at the break.
Wilmington once again scored one goal in the third quarter but Mount Union got its offense flowing almost doubling its score as they had nine goals in the quarter. The final quarter saw Mount Union shut Wilmington out while picking up six goals for the 26-2 victory.

Mount Union returns to play on Wednesday taking on Muskingum at home with a 7 PM start time.
