DOVER, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in fourth place after the first round of the Gatorade Collegiate at Zoar Village G.C on Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score 295 which is just two shots back of third place Capital. Wooster leads the event with a team score of 289.
Sophomore
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way with a 69, which also puts him in first place as an individual. Senior
Benjamin Zimmerman (Mount Pleasant, Pa. / Southmoreland), freshman
Thomas Pesa (Youngstown / Ursuline) and freshman
James Hoose (Mentor / Lake Catholic) all carded rounds in the 70s, shooting 73, 76 and 77 respectively.
The Raiders are back in action tomorrow for the second round of the Gatorade Collegiate at Zoar Village G.C. in Dover.
