CANTON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in twelfth place after the final round of the Malone-Glenmoor Fall Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 992 (330-336-326) which was twelve strokes behind eleventh place Malone. Lewis won the event with a team score of 888 (295-297-296).
Sophomore
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way for Mount Union, finishing with a score of 230 (82-73-75) with senior
Owen Hinkle (Loudonville) shooting a 241 (77-82-82). Senior
Benjamin Zimmerman (Mount Pleasant, Pa. / Southmoreland) and freshman
James Hoose (Mentor / Lake Catholic) rounded out the Raiders team score shooting a 253 (83-88-82) and 268 (88-93-87) respectively.
The Raiders return to action on Sunday, September 15 for the first round of the Donald Ross Invitational at Manakiki G.C. in Willoughby.
