SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in sixth place at the Donald Ross Invitational on Monday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 626 (319-307) which was just seven strokes behind fifth place Ohio Northern. John Carroll won the event with a team score of 598 (298-300).
Sophomore
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way for Mount Union, finishing with a team score of 145 (73-72) which put him in second place as an individual after playing two playoff holes. Senior
Benjamin Zimmerman (Mount Pleasant, Pa. / Southmoreland) finished with a score of 160 (80-80), while senior
Owen Hinkle (Loudonville) and freshman
Vincent Borros (Strongsville) rounded out the Raiders team score shooting 162 (79-83) and 164 (87-77) respectively.
The Raiders return to action on Saturday, September 21 for the Mount Union Fall Invitational at Tannenhauf G.C. in Alliance.
