ALLIANCE, Ohio— Sophomore
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) finished with a career-low and second lowest Mount Union individual score shooting a 6-under 66 to lead Mount Union to a 22-shot lead on day one of the Mount Union Fall Invitational.
Myers is leading on day one but teammate Ben Zimmerman (Mount Pleasant, Pa. / Southmoreland) also shot under par with a 70 to sit in second place.
Owen Hinkle (Loudonville) was third in scoring on the A team with a 73 sitting in a tie for third place while
Tim Caspio (Medina) rounded out the scoring with a 77-sitting tied for seventh.
Logan McCarrell (Powell / Olentangy Liberty) finished out the A team scoring with an 85 tied for 28th.
Mount Union also has a B and C team as they sit third and fourth with scores of 310 and 318.
Thomas Pesa (Youngstown / Ursuline) led the B team with a score of 73 sitting tied for third and
Matt Kurtz (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) led the C team with a 78 tied for 10th.
Mount Union will finish the tournament on Sunday at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.
