CRESSON, Pa. – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in fourth place after the final round of the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic at Summit C.C. on Saturday afternoon.

The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 610 (309-301) which was just two strokes behind second place Mount Aloysius and Heidelberg. Farmingdale State won the event with a team score of 601 (304-297).

Sophomore Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way for Mount Union and finished in second place as an individual 146 (73-73). Senior Owen Hinkle (Loudonville) finished with a 154 (79-75), while senior Benjamin Zimmerman (Mount Pleasant, Pa. / Southmoreland) and freshman James Hoose (Mentor / Lake Catholic) rounded out the Raiders team score shooting 155 (80-75) and 157 (79-78) respectively.

The Raiders return to action on Monday, September 9 for the first round of the Malone Glenmoor Fall Invitational at Glenmoor Country Club.
