Women's Volleyball: Raiders Split Final Non Conference Weekend

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan—The Mount Union women's volleyball team split a pair of matches Saturday afternoon at the Midwest Invitational hosted by Calvin University.

The first match of the day Mount Union (9-12, 1-1 OAC) took down Wheaton (Ill.) (18-7, 1-2 CCIW) 25-19, 25-23, 20-25 and 25-21.
 
The Purple Raiders were led by Molly McKee (North Ridgeville) with 10 blocks and nine kills while Zoe Sweigart (Canal Winchester) finished with 11 kills in the match.
 
DeLani Durst (Clyde) and Anna Mihacevich (Hinkley / Padua Franciscan) finished the match with 20 and 10 assists while Ryann Kanable (Powell / Olentangy Liberty) finished with six blocks.
 
Averi Haley (Orrville) finished the match with 16 digs while Durst had 14.
 
The second match Mount Union fell to Calvin (16-3, 1-1 MIAA) 25-15, 25-20 and 25-19.
 
Sweigart finished with 11 kills once again to lead Mount Union in hitting.
 
Durst finished with 14 assists with her counterpart in Mihacevich finished with 13 assists.
 
Haley led the way in digs with 22 while Sadie Thomas (Cambridge Springs, Pa. / Maplewood) had double digits with 10.
 
Mount Union will return back to Ohio Athletic Conference play on Tuesday heading to New Concord, Ohio taking on Muskingum at 7 pm.
