DESTIN, Fla. – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in 24
th place after the final round of the Golfweek Classic at Sandestin Beach Resort on Tuesday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 929 (323-314-292) which was just seven strokes behind 23
rd place DePauw. Mary Hardin-Baylor won the event with a team score of 847 (291-283-273).
Junior
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way for Mount Union in round three finishing with a 68, freshman
Austin Wilhoit (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) carded an even par 72. Freshman
Austin Mariani (Kinsman / Badger) and sophomore
Caden Buxton (West Middlesex, Pa.) rounded out the Raiders team score with a 74 and 78 respectively.
The Raiders will conclude their fall season at the Region 5 Showcase at Catawaba Island G.C. in Port Clinton, Ohio with the first round beginning on Monday, October 20.
