DESTIN, Fla. – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in 24^th place after the second round of the Golfweek Classic at Sandestin Beach Resort on Tuesday afternoon.

The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 637 (323-314) which is 20 strokes back of 23^rd place Millikin. Trinity leads the event with a team score of 573 (287-286).

Junior Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way for Mount Union in round two finishing with a 72, while freshman Austin Wilhoit (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) also finished with a round in the 70s, finishing with a 78. Freshman Austin Mariani (Kinsman / Badger) and sophomore Caden Buxton (West Middlesex, Pa.) rounded out the Raiders team score, carding an 80 and 84 respectively.

The Raiders are in action again tomorrow for the final round of the Golfweek Classic at Sandestin Beach Resort in Destin, Fla.

The Raiders also sent four golfers to the Golden Flash Invitational at the Country Club of Hudson in Hudson, Ohio to compete as individuals.

Sophomore John Back (Massillon / Tuslaw) led the way with a two-round score of 156 (78-78), while freshman Matthew Contipelli (Solon) fired a 163 (83-80). Sophomore Vincent Borros (Strongsville) added a 165 (84-81), with fellow sophomore James Hoose (Mentor / Lake Catholic) rounding out the Raiders competing with a 171 ( 83-88).
