WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Mount Union men's wrestling team was selected third in the 2025-26 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Preseason Coaches Poll.
The Purple Raiders, under the guidance of fifth-year head coach
Ryan Riggs, totaled 25 points, only six points from second and 11 from first.
Baldwin Wallace was picked to repeat as conference champions with 36 points and six first-place votes, followed by Ohio Northern with 31 points and one first-place vote.
The Raiders are led by senior
Nolan Frye (Valley View, OH / Walsh Jesuit) at 133 and junior
Steven Marra (Salem, Ohio / West Branch) at 285, who both finished fourth at last year's NCAA Regionals—both were one win away from qualifying for Nationals. Also returning are sophomores
Josh Carman (Carrollton, OH / Carrollton) and
Ridge Barkley (Morral, OH / Marion Harding), who placed fifth at 149 and placed eighth at 141, respectively, at regionals.
Mount Union starts the 2025-26 campaign on Saturday, Nov. 1, with its home 15-team invitational starting at 9:30 a.m.
