ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer lost their Ohio Athletic Conference opener 2-1 against Otterbein on Saturday evening.
The Cardinals (5-4-1, 1-0 OAC) struck first when Rae Ehrbar scored in the 15
th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Otterbein would then extend their lead to two goals in the 25
th minute when Cami McCulty found the back of the net.
The Purple Raiders (3-4-2, 0-1 OAC) would cut into the lead in the 51
st minute when sophomore
Rachel Chenos (Hilliard / Hilliard Bradley) found the back of the net off an assist from junior
Ella Dinwiddie (Medina / Wadsworth) to cut the lead to 2-1 but that is as close as they would be able to get as the Cardinals would go on to win 2-1.
The Raiders return to action on Saturday, October 11 when they host Wilmington at 1 p.m. for Senior Night in Kehres Stadium.
