WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Mount Union football team had a total of 16 All-Ohio Athletic Conference selections on the 2025 All-OAC Teams, including nine First Team selections and three special award winners.
Highlighting the award winners for Mount Union were senior bandit Kaleb Brown (La Plata, MD/La Plata), senior DB Kosta Thrasivoulou (North Ridgeville, OH/North Ridgeville), and redshirt-freshman QB Mikey Maloney (Concord Township, OH/Painesville Riverside). Brown was named Paul J. Hoernemann Most Outstanding Defensive Lineman, Thrasivoulou was named the Co-Lee Tressel Award Most Outstanding Defensive Back, and Maloney was named the Bob Packard Most Outstanding Offensive Back.
Brown paced the conference with 14 tackles for loss and ranked second with seven sacks. He had 53 tackles, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery for the league's best overall defense in points (12.9) and yards (288.5) allowed per game.
Thrasivoulou led the league with 15 pass breakups and tied for second with three interceptions. He also added 54 tackles for the second-best passing defense in the conference.
Maloney was tops in the league with 27 passing touchdowns, a 69.0 completion percentage, and a 187.3 passing efficiency. His 2,237 passing yards ranked third in the conference in the regular season, and he added 391 yards and eight scores on the ground.
Joining Brown, Thrasivoulou, and Maloney on the All-OAC First Team were senior OL Giovanni Kennedy (Avon, OH/St. Edward), senior OL Fred Fevrier (Lehigh Acres, FL/Lehigh Senior), senior DL Brandon Bowden (Gainesville, FL/Gainesville), senior P Michael Franklin (Sandusky, OH/Sandusky), junior WR Davion Grant (Naples, FL/Gulf Coast), and junior K Ivan Maric (Falls Church, VA/Mclean).
Kennedy and Fevrier paved the way for the top offense in the conference, as Mount Union was first in scoring (46.6) and total offense (484.7). Bowden posted career highs in sacks (4.5) and tackles for loss (7.5). Franklin led the OAC in punting, averaging 43.9 a boot. Grant led Mount Union in receiving yards (711), while tying for a team high in touchdown catches (6). Maric led the league in made field goals with 10 and had the longest field goal made of 47.
The Raiders had five players earn All-OAC Second Team: graduate RB Darnell Williams (Cleveland, OH/John Adams), senior SPUR Weston Arthur (Homerville, OH/Northwestern), senior WR Jacob Cockrell (Stockbridge, GA/Dutchtown), senior Nick Turner (Strongsville, OH/Strongsville), and junior OL Mitch Coffee (Salem, OH/West Branch).
Additionally, senior OL Mason Fortner (Wadsworth, OH/Wadsworth) and senior LB Keenan Cruz (Lutz, FL/George M. Steinbrenner) were named on the All-OAC Honorable Mention Team.
Mount Union will host Muhlenberg on Saturday, November 29, in the 2025 NCAA Playoffs Second Round with the kickoff set for noon, exclusively broadcast on ESPN+. The Purple Raiders, who won their league-record 36th OAC Championship, are striving for their NCAA-record 14th National Championship.
