CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Mount Union's men's volleyball team was picked to repeat as Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League champs in the preseason coaches' poll.
It is the Purple Raiders seventh season in the conference as they start their eighth year as a varsity sport. Mount Union has had double digit wins in the last six seasons and has made the MCVL tournament for five straight.

Matt Mihelic returns a strong duo of All-MCVL selections in senior
Michael Bowler (Broadview Heights Brecksville-Broadview Heights) and junior libero
Peyton Koszelak (Eden, N.Y. / Eden).
Bowler was named a second team All-American and was the MCVL Offensive Player of the year, Koszelak was named the MCVL Defensive Player of the Year and head coach
Matt Mihelic was named the MCVL Coach of the Year.
"We have a few key pieces coming back from our team last year and are eager to see how this group of underclassmen gel within our program on the floor. We look forward to another great year of competition within the MCVL."
The Raiders have its season and home opener on Tuesday, January 13
th at 7 PM taking on Geneva and open conference play at home in a MCVL Championship rematch against Baldwin Wallace on February, 21
st at 5 pm.
