ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union track and field team opened its season hosting the Toy Drive Meet on Saturday afternoon winning 10 events.
The women took the top four spots in the 400-Meters.
Cora Liskai won the race with a time of 1:00.83,
Ashley Eberhardt (1:01.73),
Carlie Besecker (1:01.84) and Julia Armogida (1:03.56) finished second through fourth.
Mount Union took the top three spots in the women's pole vault with
Jessica Mason winning with a jump of 11-feet 1.5-inches,
Annalyse Ames second with a leap of 10-feet 1.5-inches and
Wendy Veit finishing third with a jump of 9-feet 7.75-inches.
In the women's 500-Meters
Kristen Walters won the race with a time of 1:23.89 while
Ella McElwee took second with a 1:25.13.
Makayla Sitzlar won the women's shot put with a toss of 43-feet .25-inches while
Makenna Rudy finished third with a toss of 39-feet 1-inch.
Rylie Haynes won the women's long jump with a leap of 16-feet 11.5-inches while
Maddie Eldridge finished third with a jump of 16-feet 10.5-inches.
Madline Burgess won the women's triple jump with a jump of 35-feet 7.25-inches.
Colton Hanlon won the men's pole vault with a leap of 15-feet 1-inch.
Laney Duff won the women's high jump with a jump of 5-feet 4.25-inches.
Rhon Bruce won the men's long jump with a leap of 22-feet 1-inch.
Jacob Peklay picked up the victory in the men's mile with a 4:47.52.
Yahir Hill finished second in the men's 400-Meters with a time of 51.86.
Kennedy Berger picked up second place in the women's 60-Meters with a time of 8.00.
Mount Union finished second and third in the men's 800-Meters as
Matthew Sopchak and
Dylan Easterling ran 2:00.35 and 2:01.17.
Haynes finished second in the women's 200-Meters while Berger picked up third with times of 26.44 and 26.75.
Tre Greer and
Zach Stinson finished second and third in the men's high jump with leaps of 6-feet 2-inches and 6-feet .75-inches.
Nick Franitti finished third in the men's 60-Meter hurdles with a time of 8.48.
