Abby Calaway (Berea / Berea-Midpark) and freshman
Ethan Harvey (Macedonia / St. Ignatius) have been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Swimmers of the Week (12/8).
Calaway and Harvey both helped lead the Raiders' men's and women's swimming and diving teams to a second-place finish at the Wooster Invitational over the weekend. Calaway won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:55.09 and the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.65. She was also a member of the 200-yard freestyle team that won with a time of 1:40.02, the 200-yard medley relay team that won with a time of 1:49.61, the 800-yard freestyle relay team that finished third with a time of 8:05.52 and the 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished second with a time of 3:42.53.
Harvey won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 20.81 and the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 45.86, he also finished third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 50.89. He was also a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that won with a time of 1:24.52, the 400-yard freestyle relay team that won with a time of 3:05.91, the 200-yard medley relay team that finished second and broke the school record with a time of 1:32.95 and the 400-yard medley relay team that finished third with a time of 3:28.97.
This is the second time this season and the eighth time in her career that Calaway has won the award and this is the first time this season and in his career that Harvey has won the award.
