OLIVET, Michigan—The Mount Union men's volleyball team defeated Olivet in four sets, 25-15, 25-16, 24-26 and 25-21, Saturday afternoon in Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League play.
The Purple Raiders (11-8, 2-0 MCVL) were led by a career-high 24 kills from
Jacob Nussdorfer (Lewis Center / Olentangy) while
Owen Geissman (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA / Trabucco Hills) picked up 12 kills.
Max Kaiser (Lewis Center / Olentangy) picked up a career-high 46 assists with
Peyton Koszelak (Eden, N.Y. / Eden) picked up a game-high 16 digs.
Olivet (2-12, 0-2 MCVL) was led by Silas Martin with 16 kills, Will Mensching picked up 31 assists and Matthew Tollar finished with 15 digs.
Mount Union put together 59 kills on 138 swings with just 22 hitting errors with Adrian having 38 kills on 125 attempts with 21 hitting errors. Mount Union and Adrian each finished with seven blocks, Mount Union had five more digs with 58-to-53 and Mount Union had more assists with 57 to Adrians 37.
Mount Union will have a two week break before returning home to take on Mount St. Joseph's on Friday, March 14
th with a 7 PM start.
