ALLIANCE, Ohio— Mount Union's men's golf team finished in fifth place after the final round of the Mount Union Spring Invitational at Tannenhauf G.C. on Sunday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 629 (318-311), which was just five strokes behind fourth place Malone. John Carroll won the event with a team score of 595 (303-292).
Sophomore Brian Myers (Wadsworth) carded a 75 in round two to give him a two-round total of 149 and earn a top five finish. Senior Owen Hinkle (Loudonville) also finished in the top 10 with a two-round score of 152 (78-74). Freshmen Caden Buxton (West Middlesex, Pa.) and Vincent Borros (Strongsville) rounded out the Raiders team score, shooting 164 (86-78) and 167 (83-84), respectively.
The Raiders return to action on Monday, April 21, for the Spring Phipps Memorial at Alliance Country Club in Alliance.
