ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in first place at the Spring Phipps Memorial at Alliance Country Club on Monday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 304, which was six strokes ahead of second place.
Sophomore
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) carded a 72 to lead Mount Union and pace all golfers. Senior
Owen Hinkle (Loudonville) and freshman
Thomas Pesa (Youngstown / Ursuline) both shot a 76, while freshman
Vincent Borros (Strongsville) rounded out the Raiders team score with an 80.
The Raiders are back in action on Sunday, April 27 for the first round of the John Carroll Dan Caschera Classic at Sandridge C.C. in Chardon, Ohio.
