CHARDON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in ninth place after the first round of the John Carroll Dan Caschera Classic at Sandridge C.C. on Sunday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 309 which is just three shots back of eighth place Depauw. John Carroll leads the event with a team score of 291.
Freshman
Vincent Borros (Strongsville) led the way for Mount Union, carding a 76. Sophomore
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) and freshman
Caden Buxton (West Middlesex, Pa.) both finished with a 77, while senior
Owen Hinkle (Loudonville) carded a 79 to round out the Raiders team score.
The Raiders are back in action again tomorrow for the final round of the Dan Caschera Classic at Sandridge C.C. in Chardon.
