CHARDON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team finished in ninth place after the final round of the John Carroll Dan Caschera Classic at Sandridge C.C. on Monday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders finished with a team score of 627 (309-318) which was just two strokes behind eighth place Wooster. Kenyon won the event with a team score of 584 (296-288).
Sophomore
Brian Myers (Wadsworth) led the way for Mount Union with a score of 152 (77-75), while senior
Owen Hinkle (Loudonville) also carded a score in the 150s, finishing with a 157 (79-78). Freshmen
Caden Buxton (West Middlesex, Pa.) and
Vincent Borros (Strongsville) rounded out the Raiders team score, shooting 159 (77-82) and 163 (76-87) respectively.
The Raiders return to action on Friday, May 2 for the first round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship at River Greens G.C. in West Lafayette, Ohio.
